  9. We want to thank all the people who send their suggestions and reports to us
  10. to make AMIS one of the finest multiple file editors available. Further one
  11. ofcourse our beta-testers and the people who use AMIS every day. Please
  12. enjoy this release of AMIS - the AMiga Integrated System!
  13.  
  14. Main features of AMIS:
  15. ----------------------
  16. o  6 different editors for normal, ANSI, AmigaGuide, HTML, Pagestream and
  17.    C-source text. Most of them are WYSIWYG. The HTML editor is still in
  18.    BETA stage and is released separately (Aminet directory comm/www/
  19.    amis_html.lha).
  20. o  Every editor has its own 'viewerbar' with special functions for that
  21.    particular editor.
  22. o  A 'Project Manager' which allows you to make a list of text files which
  23.    in some way 'belong together'. Very useful for the different source files
  24.    of a program for example.
  25. o  A 'Toolbar' (adjustable to your wishes) very much like the one we know
  26.    from Wordworth ®.
  27. o  A very powerful set of internal commands (over 70!) which are at the same
  28.    time the ARexx commands.
  29. o  All keys are user definable.
  30. o  User settings for programming functions like Compile, Assemble, Link,
  31.    etc.
  32. o  Settings windows for the Toolbar, Editor, Current window, Keyboard, Menu,
  33.    Screen, Palette, Font, Programming and Miscellaneous settings.
  34. o  Macro support. You are able to record, play, load, save and edit macro's.
  35.    Shortcuts and macro names are also supported.
  36. o  All the usual editor functions like Find&Replace, block commands
  37.    (with clipboard support), statistics, etc.
